Cost: $4.00 per hour; $2.00 per half hour. After-care ends at 5:30 p.m. A late fee of $5.00/15 minutes is charged after 5:30.

Sign-in / Sign-out: All students must sign in and out daily in the registration area BEFORE attending classes and BEFORE leaving (see arrival/departure).

Name Badges: All students must wear a Willowbrook name badge. Children pick up a badge upon arrival and drop it off when leaving.

Lunch: Full Day Students: Bring a lunch in an insulated cooler/container and a water bottle with the owner’s name printed clearly on both. The Half Day morning session ends at noon. Half day students may not stay for lunch unless accompanied by a guardian. Willowbrook is not responsible for these students after 12 noon.

Tips for Pick Up / Drop Off

-Pick up for 3 year olds is at noon. Those 4 – 7 ½ can be picked up at 2:45pm. Those 8 and older are excused at 3:15pm. Your child is a busy artist creating something somewhere in camp until pick up time!

-If you have an artisan (8+) and a villager (7 ½ and younger), pick up is at 3:15pm. Staff will be with the younger one, and you will not be charged for aftercare during this time.

-Arrive knowing your family’s PIN number for safe sign-out of your child.

-Follow the driving route – the city of Tualatin has requested that we use the map route, which helps reduce traffic on Nyberg Road and citizen concerns. If you need a map, please ask. Please do not use shortcuts through neighborhoods or make U-turns on Nyberg Lane.

-When waiting on the road, please move as far to the side as possible to allow for through traffic.

-Upon entering the parking lot, you may tell the lot attendant if you’d like to park (stay in left lane, wait for a spot, go in the gates, and sign your child out yourself), or if you’d like to “pick up” (stay in right lane, fill out a parking slip, give to the designated staff appearing at your window, and wait for our escorts to bring your child to your car).

-We cannot always accommodate your preferences regarding parking or pick-up, and appreciate your understanding. This is for everyone's safety and convenience, and dependant on which lane is moving faster.

-Please do NOT change lanes in the parking lot once you are in one. This upsets our system and it will probably take longer for you to pick up your child. Changing lanes also can and has caused mishaps.

-We cannot escort your child to your car until you have reached the curb near the entrance to camp.

-Once you have your child, please wait for staff directions to leave either your parking spot or the pick-up lane. Parking lot attendants communicate when it is safe to leave using simple hand and verbal signals.

-We have a limited number of parking spaces available for short-term Willowbrook use. The City of Tualatin requires that we reserve some spots for other Brown’s Ferry Park visitors. Please respect parking lot signage.

Appropriate Clothing

Washable clothes, grubbies, close-toed shoes (NO FLIP FLOPS), warm clothing on cold days, jackets with hoods & long pants on rainy days. 3, 4, 5 yr. olds must bring a labeled plastic bag with extra clothes for their stay in case of unexpected events. Check Lost & Found regularly for missing items.

Carpools

All parents must fill out a Pick-up Authorization Form for each registered child. A phone call is required before any child is allowed to leave with someone not listed on this form. The City of Portland recommends the secure family www.drivelessconnect.com for metro area carpool information. (Willowbrook does not endorse any carpool website or facilitate camper carpool arrangements)

Visitors

Parents are welcome to visit between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. All visitors must sign in at the registration desk upon arrival, show a driver’s license, and wear a Willowbrook visitor’s badge. Visitors observe without entering learning centers or disturbing teachers during instruction time. Visiting children may not engage in activities. Visitors sign out and drop off badges as they leave. The front desk staff is happy to carry messages and get children while visitors wait.

Safety & Security

Security fencing surrounds our 4 acre exclusive use area to restrict access to the Tualatin River and public areas of the park. Security staff and a registered nurse are on duty throughout the day.

Special Needs

Willowbrook invites children with special needs to attend and provides as much attention as possible to accommodate them. Although the park has rough ground, most areas are handicap accessible. Most needs can be met by an adult provided by the student’s family. Please call for more information and consider a site visit during camp hours.
